Not so Mellow Yellow

Getting my Color Challenge - Yellow - in at the last minute. I've been wanting to sew this "Sweet Sunshine" block for a while now, so I had this sunrays-type yellow fabric from Heather Bailey True Colors. The paper-pieced block is from Lynne Goldsworthy's "Ultimate Quilt Block Collection".

Also, I made a yummy lemon-yellow Lemon Meringue Pie!

In addition, I colored some yellow eggs.

Blue Color Challenge for February

Finished a block for the February Color Challenge which is blue. 

Here are my 2 blocks that I have sewn so far, since January's color challenge was red.

Strawberry Social Mini

I've had this Strawberry Social Mini pattern by Margot Languedoc  for a little while. So when I saw that it was chosen as the February mini pattern, I decided to get it out and pick out some fabric. I like how it turned out. I used my pink and red stash from Pam Kitty Morning fabric.

In keeping with the strawberry theme, I found this blue with strawberries print, also, in my stash for the back. 

Not sure where I will be putting it, but for now, at least, it feels good knowing that I sewed one of my many purchased patterns.
