Accomplishments for May

For my One Monthly Goal at Elm Street Quilts, I needed to get caught up with my 2 Quilt Alongs. I am happy to have this completed. My May Goal Setting was here.

The Threadology Quilt Along is now on Block 8 and I did complete it in May (which includes one extra 6 1/2" block):

Cross with Cross Blocks

Going Backwards, I also completed Block 7, Economy:

In addition, I completed Block 6, Fair and Square:

Plus, Block 5, Royal Star:

I, also, wanted to catch up on my Stargazer Block of the Month blocks. Following is really only the one block I needed to complete.

Although, I needed to finish piecing Block 3, also. I had to sew the angled sections together which took a little time to get the seams to match.

The block for May only came out on May 18 and I have until June 21 to complete it. So for the present time, I am caught up with my Quilt Alongs. Thanks to Patty at Elm Street Quilts for helping with the One Monthly Goal!

Trying to Keep up with Quilt Alongs

My May OMG at Elmstreet Quilts is to get caught up on my Quilt Alongs.  I chose 2 Quilt Alongs this year - The Threadology Quilt Along at Fat Quarter Shop and The Stargazer Block of the Month by Rebecca Bryan. Well, I have not been keeping up, so that is my May goal.

Following are the blocks I have completed so far for The Threadology Quilt Along:
Block 1 - Ohio Star Block

Block 2 - Nine Patch Block

Block 3 - Shooting Squares Block

Block Four - Churn Dash Block

The Threadology Quilt along is already up to Block 7 so I have 3 more to go, plus Block 8 will be posted by the end of the month. Also, I have not trimmed my Shooting Squares Block, so this needs done, too.

"Lovely" Table Runner

I finished this Table Runner from Table Runner Bliss. I won this fabric from Henry Glass a few years back (possibly 3 years). It was really awesome to win this fabric bundle but I did not get to working on it right away. When I looked through Table Runner Bliss, I decided to sew "Lovely". The quilt top was completed in Fall 2018. I thought I would have it done by Valentine's Day, but Not!

I recently got it out again and decided to get it done. I quilted center "focal points". I discovered this quilting technique from Walk by Jacquie Gering.

I used the fabric and pieced the backing, also.

This table runner fits very nicely on my family room coffee table. I am using it for a little while and may put it away until next Valentine's Day. I am linking my finish to The Crafty Quilter's UFO & WIP Challenge
