The SAHRR 4th Round is held at Wendy from Pieceful Thoughts. I have done "slices" before and I did borrow my block from Happy Quilting Melissa's Fast & Fun Lap Quilts Book. I am kind of lazy when it comes to figuring out my own blocks. I knew that she had a "sliced block" in this book because I have sewn each of the blocks in this book for a Quilt Along.
Here is my block that has 4 sliced sections.
Here are the blocks that I have sewn so far from the prompts. I honestly don't know how to put this all together. I guess I'll figure something out for a table topper. I do need to add another block beside the green 6 1/2" block.
Who knows? I may decide later on how to arrange this. Everyone's SAHRR Quilt tops are really coming together nicely. It is fun to play along.
What a fun way to use the sliced block! I'm enjoying all the quilts and the creative ways each border is used! You'll figure out a layout, I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Wendy, I have not worked on my log cabins yet. We'll see how far I get.
DeleteI love this interpretation of the sliced block. I know you will come up with something. Since you bordered the first block in this photo you could border the other two using an old or new prompt. You could also put the king's crown on point. So many choices....
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kathleen. I may try to finish some log cabins and figure something out.
