Gail at Quilting Gail indicated to us to sew some stars for our Stay at Home Round Robin for this week. I chose to sew one big, bold, bursting 12 1/2" star to add to my quilt top. My low volume background has little stars on it, too.
This block is actually called San Diego. I chose this from All of the Star blocks that they have for free to download. I'm considering completing a table runner with all of my blocks. Plus, I'm wanting to kind of sew a rainbow of colors. These are my past blocks which are not sewn together yet.
I'll try to figure it all out down the road. It is fun to organize your own quilt top, plus to see what everyone else comes up with. Linking up to SAHRR Round 3
San Diego is a pretty block. Yes, it is fun to see what everyone creates, and to work on your own quilt also.
ReplyDeleteDanice, thank you so much for your sweet comments on my blog post for SAHRR!
DeleteAre you making all your blocks the same size?
ReplyDeleteHello Betty, they are not the same size, I am coming up though with 18 1/2" square combined, if I piece them together.
DeleteLove this block - so fun and interesting and purple is one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kathleen. I am getting fond of purple, too.
DeleteA very pretty star block! I can't wait to see how you put this together!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I honestly don't where I'm headed with all of this, but it is fun to just wing it on your own.
